Summer has been a season of growth, impact, and gratitude. Because of our donors, sponsors, and volunteers, the Jason Kinzler Family First Foundation continues to provide hope and financial assistance to families facing the unimaginable loss of a parent or caregiver.

Together, we are helping families move forward with strength, support, and community.

❤️ Mission In Action

At our June board meeting, the Foundation discussed a family experiencing multiple tragic losses and significant new caregiving responsibilities for several children. The Foundation provided rent assistance and gift cards while continuing to evaluate additional support opportunities.

These moments remind us why this mission matters and why your support makes an immediate impact.

📈 Expanding Support For Families

The Board unanimously approved increasing the Foundation's maximum family support amount from $5,000 to $7,500 to better meet the growing needs of families throughout West Michigan.

⛳ 2026 Golf Outing Success

What an incredible day at The Meadows at GVSU! Thanks to our golfers, sponsors, volunteers, and supporters, we welcomed 21 teams and raised approximately $15,000 to support families in need.

The outing also introduced new businesses and community members to the Foundation's mission, helping us grow our impact throughout West Michigan.

🌟 Welcome, Alaina Van Houdt

This month we welcomed Alaina Van Houdt to our Board of Directors. Alaina previously received support from the Foundation following the loss of her husband and now joins our board to help other families navigate similar challenges.
