“My kids and I are alone. Now it’s all up to me.” That’s what was going through Andrea’s mind as she struggled with how to move forward after the sudden loss of her beloved husband David.

She knew she and her three children had a great support system with her and David’s families, but she wasn’t sure how she’d continue to cover all her bills, especially the family’s health insurance, in the short term.

“The Kinzler Foundation was such a godsend,” Andrea says. “I was able to focus on the kids and how to navigate a life for us without David.” Almost seven years later, Andrea shared updates on her family. Her child  Jenna is now a junior at GVSU, planning to go on to graduate school; Jordan, who lives nearby in Sparta, is married with a 17-month-old daughter; Jake is successful in the music industry on the east side of the state; and she is in a long-term loving relationship with Ken.
